EmailUptown Hit-and-Run Leaves Local Barista with 2 Broken Legs
A local bassist and Urban Bean barista was the victim of a hit-and-run in Uptown Wednesday night.
The Minneapolis Police Department says the incident happened at 24th Street and Lyndale Avenue South.
Twenty-four-year-old Matt Call of Minneapolis suffered extensive injuries, including two broken femurs, a cracked pelvis, and spinal fractures. Friends and family say it will be about three months before Call will be able to walk.
According to his Twitter account, Call is stable and in good spirits.
