The University of Minnesota is hoping to play a major role in the craft beer industry.
The university is growing hops at two different Minnesota sites. Researchers are currently experimenting with the process.
If it’s successful, the U of M says Minnesota and the Midwest could sustain the growing craft brewing industry with locally-grown hops.
