Minnetonka High School Remembers Drowning Victim

Twenty-year-old Kennedy Maddox just graduated from Minnetonka High School.

Today KSTP spoke with his choir director and the principal. They say it was a privilege to know this incredible young man.

They say Kennedy had an infectious personality, and smile to light up the school. But that the 20-year-old also had gumption and perseverance. After problems at home derailed his high school career two years ago, he came back to Minnetonka high school last fall and graduated in May.

Maddox's passion was music, he was involved in choir and even took a trip to Ireland with the choir.

They say it's an unexpected loss to the Minnetonka community.
