Search for Possible Drowning Victim in Prescott

Divers continued to search Wednesday for a man missing in the St. Croix River in Prescott.

Pierce County Sheriff's Deputy Brad Verges told KSTP.COM they received a call of a possible drowning at 8:17 Tuesday evening.

"A 65 year old male was reported to have fallen of of a courtesy dock into the St. Croix River and did not surface," said Verges.  Water Patrol did attempt to locate (the) victim using sonar and divers but were unsuccessful."

The search resumed Wednesday morning.

Assisting in the search are Prescott Fire/Ambulance, Prescott Dive Team, Dakota County Sheriff's Department, Washington County Sheriff's Department, and the St. Croix County Sheriff's Department and Dive Team.
