2 House Fires Reported in Metro Overnight
Everyone got out safely in two separate house fires overnight.
The first fire broke out around 1 a.m. at 3720 4th Ave. S. in Minneapolis. Officials say the fire started in a mattress on the first floor and caused minimal damage to the house. Seven people escaped without injuries.
The second fire happened around 3 a.m. on 148th Path West in Apple Valley. The woman who was home at the time got out ok, but there was extensive damage to the house.
Both incidents are still under investigation.
