St. Paul Family, Including Newborn, Held at Gunpoint

A St. Paul woman gave birth to daughter Alesandra weeks ago.

On Friday night she feared she'd lose her baby to gun violence.

The woman, her boyfriend, and 11-week-old Alesandra had just arrived home on the 1800 block of Magnolia Avenue in St. Paul.

As they were getting out of the truck, a man with a gun demanded money.

The woman, who didn't want us to use her name, says her boyfriend handed over money from a check he'd just cashed, but it wasn't enough.

She says he wanted money from her as well, and threatened to kill Alesandra, pointing the gun at the little girl.

The young mother says she had no cash, praying to God to keep her child safe.

The man finally walked away, but St. Paul police say he is a suspect in two other armed robberies in the same area Friday night.

They want anyone with information to call St. Paul police.
