Fmr. Gov. Tim Pawlenty Appears on "This Week with George Stephanopoulos"
Former Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty who is also the co-chair of Mitt Romney's presidential campaign was part of a roundtable discussion on the weekend political show.
Pawlenty who often appears cool and calm delivered a couple zingers against the President. At one point he said it doesn't make sense to have "the arsonist become the firefighter." He said President Obama promised to be bi-partisan but he has been one of the least partisan presidents.
One liberal writer on the roundtable told Pawlenty this nation doesn't need this type of talk during these economic times.
Steven Schier is a political science professor. He says Pawlenty is making these sharp comments because it wouldn't be smart for Romney to at this time. Romney could lose people if he comes across as unlikable. Schier also thinks Pawlenty is likely trying out for the role of vice presidential candidate.
