Heavy Rain Leads to Flooding South of Metro

Heavy rain throughout the day Thursday led to flash flooding in some communities south of the Twin Cities metro.
In Northfield, where as many as 6 inches of rain fell on Thursday alone, high water closed roads and flooded a soccer field.
A flash flood warning remained in effect for southern Dakota, northern Rice and Goodhue counties into early Friday morning.
