New 3-D Technology Helping Save Lives in Minnesota

The same technology that makes movies such a success is now being used to help Minnesota doctors save lives.

St. Joseph's Hospital in St. Paul is the only hospital in Minnesota using True Vision 3-D technology in the operating room.

It not only gives doctors a clearer view of what they're operating on, but the image from the microscope is projected onto a 3-D screen, giving the entire team in the operating room a better view of the situation.

The hospital is still testing the True Vision system, but it is in the process of buying the equipment permanently.
