Sculptures worth $15K stolen from Concordia
St. Paul police are searching for the thief or thieves who stole four ceramic sculptures from an art show at Concordia University.
A ceramics art show ran for about one month at a campus gallery. When the show closed last week, organizers noticed four one-of-a-kind sculptures were missing.
Keith Williams, an art professor at Concordia and a curator of the art show, said the artists whose work was stolen have been notified.
Williams said, "They have been so far understanding but very disappointed not only for the loss of the piece but frankly in us as the people running the gallery."
While police investigate, the university is reviewing its security policy.
Currently there are no cameras in the gallery. But that could change.
