Vandals Slash Dozens of Tires in St. Paul

Criminals put a big damper on the Thanksgiving holiday for dozens of people in North St. Paul.

Police said vandals slashed tires on 20 to 30 cars overnight in the area of 7th and Skillman Avenues. They targeted cars in parking lots as well as private driveways.

Many of the victims couldn't fix the problem with a spare because the criminals flattened multiple tires on their vehicles.

One woman told 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS she discovered the damage as she was trying to leave for work.

Joy Plaster said, "I had to stay home to see what I could do, see if I could get new tires on it. But nobody is opened."

Police don't have any suspects but believe the vandals may have been kids on break for the holiday.
