Brooklyn Park Fire Forces Crews to Close Street

Fears dangerous chemicals were floating into a neighborhood forced firefighters to shut down part of a busy Brooklyn Park street Friday morning.

Hazardous material crews were called to Joyner's Electrical Plating at 5 a.m. as flames shot through the windows.

There were concerns the chemicals inside were being released into the air and spreading.

First responders shut down a long stretch of Brooklyn Boulevard until fire crews gave the all clear.

Investigators have not yet determined the cause of the fire.
