Buffalo Teacher Investigated for Explicit Notes
A music teacher in Buffalo is under investigation for allegedly passing sexually explicit notes to two seventh grade girls.
According to police, video from surveillance cameras at Buffalo Community Middle School links Marty Bartels, 53, to two notes received by the girls.
Investigators said the school staff also found a third note that hadn't been delivered.
Buffalo Police Chief Mitch Weinzet said the notes were, "Sexually suggestive, sexually explicit and directed at these girls in particular. It was a person who knew who they were, used their name in the note."
Bartels teaches music at both Buffalo Community Middle School and Northwinds Elementary.
Police don't believe Bartels did anything wrong at the elementary school.
Bartels has not been charged with a crime, but police expect that to happen once their investigation is complete.
Bartels is on paid leave.
