Twin Cities Walmart Denied Extended Hours on Black Friday
The City of Inver Grove Heights denied a request from its local Walmart to stay open 24-hours the day after Thanksgiving.
The store wanted to extend its hours on Black Friday to prevent a situation like the one at a New York Walmart last year where a man was killed in a stampede.
The store needed the city's permission since it is located in a local neighborhood, but the city denied its request.
