The families of four young people killed in a train crossing in Anoka County in 2003 have won a second multi-million dollar ruling against Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad.

A Washington County Judge found that the company fabricated evidence and interfered with the families' investigation of the crash.

The judge ordered BNSF to pay $4 million to the families of Bridgette Shannon, 17 of Ramsey; Corey Chase, 20, of Coon Rapids; Brian Frazier, 20, of Newport; and Harry Rhoades, 20, of Blaine.

Last year, an Anoka County jury rejected the railroad's argument that the group tried to drive around a gate to beat the train.

In that case, a judge awarded $6 million to each of the families.
