Twins Hit by a Car in Stacy

A Lindstrom woman and her twin brother are recovering after being hit by a car in Stacy Saturday night.

Police said 66-year old Doris Lent and her twin brother, Dennis Mell were leaving a fundraiser for the fire department when the accident happened around 9 p.m. They said the siblings, and a friend were crossing Highway 30 in Stacy when they were hit by a car. Lent and Mell were airlifted to the hospital. Their friend was not hurt.

Police said the driver, a 37-year-old woman from Wyoming, MN, told them she did not see the group in the road. The State Patrol is investigating the accident.
