Lakeville Bike Police Arrest Two Burglary Suspects

Lakeville Police arrested two men Thursday night they believe are responsible for 10 to 15 separate burglaries. The two men were stopped around 11 p.m. by two bike patrol officers.

The men were observed dressed completely in black clothing, carrying a large dark colored back. When approached by the officers, the suspects admitted to having committed multiple residential burglaries in the area.

The suspects are identified as Phillip Ashley Scott, age 24 of Lakeville, and John Paul Rivera, age 29 of Lakeville. Scott and Rivera were both charged Friday by the Dakota County Attorney's office with four counts of First Degree Burglary.

The investigation into multiple Lakeville robberies continues, and police believe Scott and Rivera may be connected to them, meaning additional burglary charges against them are likely.
