Patriot Guard Attempts Flag Line Record

There were U.S. flags as far as the eye could see at Minnesota's Camp Ripley on Sunday.

The Minnesota Patriot Guard formed a line with 1,344 U.S. flags. They were hoping make the Guiness Book of World Records, which currently has no entry for flag lines.

They said they did it in honor of military veterans during the base's open house.

Patriot Guard members, many of whom ride on motorcyles, are often seen at deploments and as soldiers return from war. They are also present and carrying U.S. flags during funerals of U.S. soldiers.

The Patriot Guard was hoping to have 2,000 flags bearers Sunday.
