There will be a lot more of the St. Paul Winter Carnival in 2018.

Because the dates of the Winter Carnival correspond with Super Bowl LII, which is scheduled to be played on Feb. 4 at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, the St. Paul Festival and Heritage Board has approved extending the carnival, a release from the SPFHF stated Friday.

The 2018 Winter Carnival will now run 17 days. It kicks off with the Moon Glow Parade on Jan. 25 and closes with the Torchlight Parade and celebrations on Feb. 10.

A carnival schedule is as follows:

  • Jan. 26– Feb. 11 - Vulcan Snow Park at the Fair  
  • Jan. 25 – Moon Glow Parade 
  • Jan. 26 – Royal Coronation
  • Jan. 27 – Securian Winter Run 
  • Jan. 27 – Grand Day Parade
  • Jan. 27 – Royal Guard Rock the Palace Dance 
  • Feb. 3-4 - Events TBD
  • Feb. 10 – Vulcan Torchlight Parade 
  • Feb. 10 – Vulcan Victory Dance
