St. Anthony City Manager Mark Casey confirms a possible settlement with Diamond Reynolds will be discussed when the city council next meets on Tuesday.

No agreement has been finalized.

Reynolds, the girlfriend of Philando Castile, was in the car with her daughter when Castile was shot by a St. Anthony police officer in Falcon Heights in July of 2016.

Castille's mother Valerie and the city reached a settlement agreement on a wrongful death claim of $2,995,000 in June. The settlement will be paid by the League of Minnesota Cities Insurance Trust, which holds the insurance policy for the city of St. Anthony.

The officer, Jeronimo Yanez, was acquitted of manslaughter in Castile's death in June and entered into a separation agreement with the city soon after.
