The Hennepin County Medical Examiner has released the identity of the man killed in a Sunday hit-and-run vehicle crash in south Minneapolis.

Jason Alexander Ritenour, 32 of Minneapolis, was killed Sunday morning in a four-vehicle crash at Blaisdell Avenue South and 26th Street South.

Minneapolis police said two vehicles southbound on Blaisdell failed to stop for a red light at 26th Street and collided with two westbound vehicles.

Ritenour was pronounced dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, three people in one of the southbound vehicles remained on the scene, while three occupants of the second southbound vehicle fled on foot, according to police. Officers later located, interviewed and released one of those people. 

The crash remains under investigation.
