Investigators in Sherburne County are looking for help with identifying who shot and killed two cows in the Sherburne County National Wildlife Refuge.
A release states deputies met Tuesday with a man whose cattle graze on the refuge. He told them he found a cow and calf that had been shot there. The bodies were discovered about a quarter-mile from the Blue Hill Cemetery in Blue Hill Township.
According to the release, the cows appeared to have been dead for several days, based on their decomposition level. The cow was found in a creek and the calf was found about 15 feet away.
Anyone with information about the matter is asked to call the Sherburne County Sheriff's Department at 763-765-3500.
