Police: Search Canceled for Missing Eden Prairie Man, More Information to Come

Family and friends were setting out on a search Thursday afternoon for a missing Eden Prairie resident who was last seen Tuesday, but police said the search was canceled.

The Eden Prairie Police Department said in a statement the public search for 52-year-old Joseph Best was supposed to begin at 2 p.m. at Pax Christi Church.


Police said more information is to follow in a 2:10 p.m. release.

Best was last seen leaving his Eden Prairie home at 12:20 p.m. Tuesday, and police say he may need medical help.

Best was driving a white 2009 Honda Accord with the Minnesota license plate 127HCN. 

Police do not expect foul play, and anyone with information is asked to call the department at 952-949-6200.
