"It's amazing; it's all over with finally," Matheny told WDAY-TV. "I've been here almost a month fighting for my daughter. It's been the toughest month of my life."

Earlier this week, DNA test results showed Matheny and Greywind are the parents of the newborn, who was found in the apartment of two individuals charged in Greywind's murder case.

On Aug. 19, 22-year-old Greywind, who was eight months pregnant at the time, was reported missing. Prior to her disappearance, her family said she had agreed to help a neighbor in her apartment building with fitting a dress.

Police arrested 38-year-old Brooke Lynn Crews and 32-year-old William Henry Hoehn after finding the newborn in their apartment.

Prosecutors have charged Crews and Hoehn with conspiracy to commit murder, conspiracy to commit kidnapping and providing false information.
