The family of Savanna Greywind has retained a prominent California attorney to provide legal counsel and coordinate media requests, a post to the family's Facebook page said.

The post states Gloria Allred has been hired by the family, and ABC Fargo affiliate WDAY reports Allred's office confirmed she had been retained.

TIMELINE: Savanna Greywind's Disappearance

The 22-year-old Greywind, who was 8-months pregnant, went missing Aug. 19 after her family said she agreed to help a fellow apartment tenant fit a dress. Police arrested Brooke Crews and William Hoehn after discovering what was believed to be Greywind's 2-day-old baby.

Police said kayakers on the Red River found a body wrapped in plastic and duct tape against a tree near 90th Avenue North and 15th Street north of Moorhead on Aug. 27.

That body was determined to be Greywind's.

Crews and Hoehn each entered not guilty pleas this week.

Allred has been involved in many prominent cases, most recently representing many of the women who accused comedian Bill Cosby of criminal sexual conduct, as well as several women who have made allegations against President Donald Trump.
