After Prince's death, the town posted a map on Facebook of the Purple Rain filming locations for fans to visit. This summer, the town hopes to place markers at the locations and rename a road where the film was shot Purple Rain Road.

"This little historic town is known for its founder, Joe Brown," Jeff Steinborn of the Henderson Chamber of Commerce said. "Maybe it can also be known as a place where there were a few minutes filmed of an iconic movie "Purple Rain."

The Henderson Chamber of Commerce hopes Prince fans who visit Paisley Park will also make a trip down to see their town.
