While officers were on their way, they were advised that campus public safety officers had apprehended a man who reportedly attempted to sexually assault a woman.

Police say it is believed the incident occurred in a bathroom. When the victim screamed, several students and security officers intervened.

Elder said the man was taken into custody and booked in the Hennepin County Jail.
