The incident occurred at Reliant Systems, located at 12641 Fremont Ave. An initial release said first responders and witnesses helped remove employees from the debris caused when a 1999 Chevy Tahoe traveling east on Fremont reportedly left the roadway and crashed into the building at around 1 p.m.

The vehicle continued about 30 or 40 feet through the interior of the building before finally coming to a stop. Investigators suspect alcohol was a factor in the crash.

Elliott's family told KSTP he was an entrepreneur, held several patents and sold his first company for $5 million dollars.

"He's just basically kind of a Robin Hood," Elliott's wife Stacey said. "His mom would call him up and tell him somebody was in need. He would just drive up to their mailbox and put in five thousand in and not tell him who it was. Yesterday at the hospital, probably 40 people showed up and everyone had a story how Dan changed their life and helped them out and gave them their first break."

Elliott, along with Michael Wayne Milano, 44 of Zimmerman, were transported by air to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale. Kim Ann Mills, 51 of Anoka, was taken to North Memorial by ambulance. Heidi Jo Olerich, 47 of Zimmerman, was transported by ambulance to Fairview Northland in Princeton.
