A Minneapolis man has been charged in connection to the shooting death of his neighbor.

Sixty-one-year-old Edward Frank Holzinger has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of 47-year-old Bruce Wayne Brown, the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office announced Thursday.

The shooting was reported about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday on the 100 block of 15th Avenue Northeast.

According to the charges, Holzinger shot his neighbor because they had been feuding over a lawnmower.

Police say Holzinger shot Brown while standing on his front porch. He then put the handgun on a chair in his living room and went outside to wait for police to arrest him, according to the complaint.

Holzinger is expected to make his first court appearance Friday.
