2 Shot, Injured in North Minneapolis

Two people were shot during an incident Sunday afternoon, according to the Minneapolis Police Department.

The incident occurred shortly after 4:30 p.m. in the area of 35th and Penn Avenues.


When officers arrived at the scene, they found two men sitting in a parked vehicle. Both of them had been shot, police say, and they were transported to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale.

One of the victims went into surgery and is listed as being in critical condition. The other was treated for a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
