Man Found Guilty in Fatal Minneapolis Parking Lot Shooting Sentenced

A Minneapolis man was sentenced Wednesday after being found guilty in the fatal shooting of a woman in a parking lot on the city's north side, according to a release from the Hennepin County Attorney's Office.

A Hennepin County judge sentenced Nicholas Jefferson to 35 years in prison. 

According to the criminal complaint, officers found a woman with a gunshot wound in a parking lot near Lyndale and Broadway avenues in North Minneapolis on May 12, 2017.

The woman was later identified as 26-year-old Iesha Wiley.
