A full-service restaurant is expected to open early next year at the St. Paul Downtown Airport.

A release from the Metropolitan Airports Commission Monday said Ally Hospitality, LLC has signed a five-year lease agreement to operate Holman's Table, a 90-seat restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, in the main terminal building.

The establishment is expected to open in early January, meaning it would be up and running for the lead-up to Super Bowl LII on Feb. 4 at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.

According to the release, Plymouth-based Ally Hospitality will invest a minimum of $275,000 to develop the space per terms of the lease.

Ally Hospitality owner Troy Reding and his partner operate the Rock Elm Tavern in Plymouth.

The airport, also known as Holman Field, has three runways and is home to around 100 based aircraft. It is also used by area corporations and is home to both a flight school and an Army National Guard aviation unit.

It was also once home to a restaurant, known as Holman's Hideaway, but that restaurant closed in 1999, according to a request for restaurant lease agreement the MAC prepared this summer.
