There are more road and ramp closures starting around the metro Monday.
In Burnsville, County Road 42 westbound is closing for 5 weeks at Interstate 35W. Crews will be making bridge repairs and road improvements. The roadway is expected to reopen on or around May 22. At that time, the eastbound side will close.
Drivers traveling east and west on County Road 42 will still have access to I-35W northbound and the ramp from I-35W southbound to County Road 42 will stay open. Learn more about the project.
In the east metro, the ramp from Interstate 94 eastbound to McKnight Road northbound is set to close Monday. The closure will last a couple of weeks. In Minneapolis, drivers will have to get used to a couple new ramp closures. Starting Wednesday, April 19, the ramp from I-94 westbound to Hennepin Ave/Lyndale Avenue will close. At the same time, the ramp from Hennepin Avenue/Lyndale Avenue to Lyndale Avenue southbound will close. The work will last a couple of weeks. Learn more about the project.
