The family of a missing 23-year-old Wisconsin mother of two is fearing the worst.
Marya Christiansen has been missing since Saturday when she last left Red Wing. Multiple agencies are investigating her disappearance.
Family and friends have been meeting at the Red Wing American Legion to organize a search team.
Steve Christiansen, Marya's father, described her as "very fun-loving" and said she "loves her boys and her family."
Steve Christiansen is trying to stay strong, but questions surrounding his daughter's whereabouts aren't easy to comprehend.
"None of this makes any sense; there's no way she would ever leave her boys or her family for any reason," he said.
He said his daughter was out with friends at Kelly's Bar and Grill in Red Wing last Friday night.
"She was going to get up and go home in the morning but she decided she wanted to go home that evening," Steve Christiansen said.
Police say the 23-year-old was last seen about 2:30 Saturday morning in a white Dodge Caravan with Wisconsin license plate 443 VPF, likely headed toward Hager City.
"We've checked every street in Red Wing and all the ravines from here to her house," Robert Johnson, the father of Marya's boyfriend, said.
Tony Grosso, with the Red Wing Police Department, says her whereabouts aren't suspicious at this point, but help from the public is still crucial in solving this case.
"They're our eyes and ears, and there's a very good chance that someone saw something," Grosso said.
But some people don't understand why foul play has been ruled out.
"People being taken for this and that, sex trafficking, whatever, it's out there. How can you not think it?" Christiansen said.
On Tuesday, Christiansen's boyfriend of six years and one of her two kids joined in the search efforts.
"I don't know if he knows how to take it," Johnson said.
"I wouldn't wish this on anyone in the world," Christiansen said.
Marya Christiansen is said to be about 5 feet 2 inches tall and 150 pounds with blonde hair and blue eyes. Anyone with information is asked to call police.
