Minnesotan Struck by Vegas Gunfire, Mother Seeks Answers

A Minnesota man was struck by gunfire at the Jason Aldean concert in Las Vegas Sunday night, his mother said.

Now, Steve Berger's mother, Mary Berger, is searching for answers, with no idea whether her son suffered fatal wounds. Mary Berger said her son had been near the front of the crowd with his roommate and three women when he was struck.

His friends had attempted to save him but were separated amid the chaos.

She said she and Steve Berger's friends have been on the phone trying to find out what happened to him. Concerned colleagues at his place of employment, financial firm EFS Advisors in Minnetonka, also were waiting for answers Monday night.

Law enforcement in Nevada have warned that identifying shooting victims will be a lengthy and painstaking process.
