MN United Fans Deal With Snow, Cold During Home Opener

With snow and cold, soccer fans looked more like football fans at TCF Bank Stadium Sunday afternoon. 

Minnesota United played it's first home game in it's new league losing to Atlanta 5-1. More than 35,000 fans bundled up to see the inaugural match.

United player Jermaine Taylor grew up in Jamaica.

5EYEWITNESS NEWS asked Taylor how difficult it was playing in the cold and snow. 

"Well it was pretty cold, I wasn't putting my mind to much on it I was focusing more on the game," Taylor said.

Because of the snow, an orange soccer ball during the game. It's only the second time the league has ever done that.
