MINNESOTA MOMENT: KSTP Viewers Step Up to Help as Tutors

KSTP viewers heard a call for help from St. Paul nonprofit last month.

And they've jumped into help.

Last month, KSTP reported on the struggle to find volunteer reading tutors at the East Side Learning Center in St. Paul. The center helps 280 students learn to read and is open four days a week.

Since that story, the center reports 53 new tutors.

But the center says new tutors are always welcome. Visit the center's website if you want to volunteer.
