Minnesota Moment: Anniversary Game Honors Minn. High School Soccer, Coach

Thursday night marked the 50th anniversary of the first high school soccer game in Minnesota, which was played between White Bear Lake and Minnehaha Academy.

To commemorate the anniversary, the two teams faced off again.


Guido Kauls, who coached the Minnehaha team in 1967, made a special appearance to honor the milestone as well.

On Thursday night, Kauls rode the bus with the Minnehaha players on the way to White Bear Lake.

Kauls coached the Minnehaha soccer team for 44 years.
