Minneapolis police are seeking help identifying a man they say is the suspect in a violent assault Monday night.

UPDATE: Minneapolis police say they have identified the suspect in a Monday night robbery and assault. Twenty-nine-year-old Terry Anthony Williams was arrested and booked into Hennepin County Jail Tuesday. The police department thanked all the Twitter followers who shared the the image of Williams. 


Minneapolis police are asking for help from the public in identifying a suspect they say robbed a man of his wallet and stomped on his head in an incident Monday night.

A Facebook post said officers responded to a call at a store in the 1st Precinct about 11:17 p.m. Monday.

The victim was transported to Hennepin County Medical Center where he was reported to be in critical condition.

Store surveillance footage reportedly showed the assault. The post included images of the suspect.

If anyone has information on the matter, they are asked to call either 612-673-2881 or 612-673-3572. Information can also be submitted anonymously on the department tip line at 612-692-8477.
