You heard that right. A recent report from WalletHub states that Minneapolis was categorized as one of the best cold cities for winter travel. It's about time our cold weather payed off. 

With winter approaching, many are starting to buy their plane tickets. Some may want to spend the holidays with snow, while others would rather prefer to wear shorts and some shades. Fortunately, WalletHub made a report and named the top 10 cold and warm cities for winter travel. Check it out:

Not only do these destinations have the best warm or cold weather, but you can save lots of money as well. Factors that affected the list were expenses, weather forecasts, safety, activities, and the hassle of traveling.

The report concluded that an average flight to a popular cold destination costs $2.77.61, and the flight length is about four hours.

For an average flight to a popular warm destination, the cost would be $407.43 and the flight length is about six hours.

The cheapest three-star hotel room would be $37 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. New York City has a higher cost coming at $98 and the most restaurants. Bridgeport, Connecticut has the fewest restaurants. Warm cities in Florida like Orlando has more restaurants than Deltona.

However, buyer beware: Minneapolis is going to be a hot tourist spot for the Super Bowl in February. The way it's looking right now, hotel room will be hard to come by and will cost travelers a pretty penny.
