Tenants from eight buildings owned by two landlords will gather to protest what they say is the ongoing neglect of their homes, and a property sale that could leave 130 families homeless.

Tenants from the Corcoran, Standish, Powderhorn Park and Lyndale neighborhoods in Minneapolis are calling for the owners to improve building safety and for the city to create new policies to protect renters' rights.

The protest comes after lawsuits against landlords Stephen Frenz and Spiros Zorbalas.

The protest is set for 5 p.m. on the 3100 block of 22nd Avenue South.
