Light rail trains on the Green Line were shut down for nearly two-and-a-half hours Monday between Hamline and Western avenues because of police activity, Metro Transit said in a release.

The agency said just before 7 p.m. that trains were back running at full service to all stations.

Howie Padilla, Metro Transit's public information officer, said one person was taken to Regions Hospital following an incident just after 4:30 p.m. at or near the Dale Street Green Line station. That person's condition is unknown, and no other details were immediately made available.
