The Lake Elmo Park Reserve swim pond has officially reopened.

The pond underwent a major renovation, which included replacing the liner, pumps and skimmers. The depth of the pond was also reduced, and accessibility features were added.

To celebrate the reopening, Washington County officials hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony Monday. Washington County commissioners and Metropolitan Council Chair Adam Duininck were in attendance.

The pond is open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily, and lifeguards will be on duty from noon until 8 p.m.
