Meanwhile, a smoother morning commute was expected Tuesday, after slick road conditions caused recent delays.

KSTP Traffic Reporter Josie Smith reported that aside from the occasional slick spots on metro area roads, the highways and interstates in the area were clearer Tuesday morning.

A stalled vehicle delayed traffic on southbound Highway 100 near Highway 7. The scene cleared about half an hour later.

KSTP Chief Morning Meteorologist Ken Barlow said Tuesday is expected to be sunny and colder than Monday, with a few late snow showers. Barlow said accumulation will be minimal.
