A federal judge has issued a restraining order against George Ian Boxill, a sound engineer and mixer who is in possession of five Prince tracks he released without permission, and demanded Boxill not publish any tracks and return all recordings.

The order comes a day after an emergency hearing Wednesday in a lawsuit filed by Paisley Park and Prince's Estate against Boxill, claiming Boxill violated a contract with late pop star and illegally possessed recordings he produced an co-wrote with Prince.

Boxill's legal team argued in U.S. District Court the contract was not signed by Paisley Park and Prince, and it was therefore not valid.

The order states, "Defendant George Ian Boxill, and others acting in concert with him, shall not publish or otherwise disseminate any unreleased recordings that compromise the work of Prince Rogers Nelson that are alleged to be within the scope of Confidentiality Agreement between Boxill and Paisley Park Enterprises."

The order also demands Boxill "shall deliver all of the recordings acquired through his work with Paisley Park Enterprises, including original recordings, analog and digital copies, and any derivative works."

The title track of the six-song album, "Deliverance," was available on Apple Music Wednesday, but it was taken down several hours later.
