Inver Grover Heights police successful resolved an armed incident at a gas station Tuesday that closed down a road during rush hour, according to a news release.

The release said police were called at about 4:30 p.m. to the Super America on Concord Boulevard after receiving a report that a man had posted photos of himself online with a firearm threatening to hurt himself.

When officers arrived, the man fired a round into the air, the release says. Crisis negotiators were called and were able to take the man into custody. He was taken to Regions Hospital for an evaluation.

No one was injured.
