Expert: How to Deal with Addiction, Mental Illness During the Holidays

The holidays are a time of joy, but can also be a difficult time for people dealing with addiction or mental illness.

Dr. Roger Laroche, an addiction and mental health specialist with Allina Health, says both biological and personal issues during the holiday seasons can impact addiction and mental illness. Laroche says the best self care is to prepare, prioritize and pass on things that may lead to stress.
