As colder weather approaches, homeowners are looking for ways to be more energy efficient and save money.

KSTP interviewed Linnea Johnson, who took advantage of a free home energy assessment program known as Home Energy Squad.

“I feel I need to have things checked out and if I can be more energy efficient, it’s a great way to save some money,” Johnson told KSTP.

The Minneapolis based company visits homes and offers solutions in places where your home is losing energy.

The company also partners with Center Point and Xcel Energy, the nonprofit Center for Energy and Environment and the city of Minneapolis.
