Body Found Near Bassett Creek in Minneapolis

The Hennepin County Sheriff's Office's Water Patrol is investigating a death after a body was found near Bassett Creek in Minneapolis.

More than a dozen squad cars lined Van White Memorial Blvd Thursday morning while officers, deputies and detectives investigated the area near the city's impound lot.


The Hennepin County Medical Examiner left the scene with the body at 10:22 a.m. Remaining deputies soon followed.

Authorities said in a press release Thursday afternoon that no foul play was suspected.
