Guide: Free Thanksgiving Day Meals in Minnesota

Those seeking a hot, Thanksgiving Day meal in Minnesota have options.

KSTP has put together a guide of locations offering free meals on Thursday. Take a look:

Cretin-Derham Hall High School at 10 a.m. - The Minneapolis and St. Paul fire departments will team up with Meals on Wheels to distribute Thanksgiving meals. The Minneapolis Fire Department rigs will also be delivering meals to Minneapolis residents.

Additionally, free meals will be available at the following locations:

  • Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, located at 13901 Fairview Drive in Burnsville, from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.
  • Parkview Worship & Service Center, located at 2024 Lyndale Avenue N in Minneapolis, from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. - The meal will be provided by the Blue Door Pub and pie will be provided by Baker's Square
  • Cherokee Tavern, located at 886 Smith Avenue S in West St. Paul - 4,000 to-go and dine-in meals will be prepared

Meanwhile, the Salvation Army is hosting Thanksgiving Day meals at the following locations:

  • The Austin Salvation Army, located at 409 First Avenue NE in Austin, from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.
  • The Rochester Salvation Army Adult Day Center, located at 115 First Avenue NE in Rochester, from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.
  • The St. Cloud Salvation Army, located at 400 U.S. Highway 10 S in St. Cloud, from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.
  • The Fairmont Salvation Army, located at 114 Blue Earth Avenue E in Fairmont, from 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m.
  • The Fergus Falls Salvation Army, located at 622 Vernon Avenue E in Fergus Falls, from 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m.
  • The Harbor Light Center, located at 1010 Currie Avenue in Minneapolis, from 12:45 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
  • East Lake Street Salvation Army, located at 1604 East Lake Street in Minneapolis, from 12 - 2 p.m. - The meal will be provided by the Blue Door Pub and pie will be provided by Baker's Square
